Meet the Owners

Ian and Renn Young are the founders and owners of GBG. They believe gymnastics is one of the greatest sports the world has to offer and bring 18+years of professional gymnastics and Acro training to the Great Burn program.

Renn started gymnastics at age 3 and was a USAG Level 10 competitor and Level 5 All-Around State Champion. She has made a career in coaching students K-10 in USAG competitive gymnastics and Creative Acro Movement. She served as the Program Director and Head Coach of both the Girls All-Around gymnastics program and Creative Acro teams at Roots Gymnastics and Dance in Missoula. She has additional expertise coaching Acro partnering technique, sport-specific strength and conditioning, as well as tramp/tumbling.

When not coaching at the gym, Renn works diligently on her flower farm and as a professional florist, maintains her practice as a licensed massage therapist, is an avid outdoor adventurer, loving wife, and Momma.

Ian works in forest management - caring for and maintaining surrounding local lands. He has extensive customer service experience and will be handling most of GBG's administrative logistics. He is a passionate outdoor enthusiast and a patient teacher for just about anything. He has been training in the gym to bolster his coaching skills and is excited to be coaching GBG's boys classes!

Ira is their two year old son and  the joy & inspirational pulse behind much of what they do and strive toward at GBG. They are expectantly awaiting the arrival of their second child this fall, 2024.
